Political Quote of the Week: Tony Benn on the NHS
Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 11:45PM
There been a bit of ranting across the Atlantic this week in regards to the British National Health Service. Now,the NHS just likes any other human run organization does have its flaws and imperfections but it’s truly integral in British Society and this quote from Tony Benn truly sums up its Importance...
“Even Mrs Thatcher said the National Health Service is safe in our hands, it’s as non controversial as votes for women. Nobody could come along and say ‘why should women have the vote’ because people wouldn’t have it and they wouldn't have it in Britain they wouldn’t accept the deterioration or destruction of the National Health Service”
Tony Benn (Politician)

Nobody could say it better, Tony. Nobody would listen to you more than anybody. Personally, I am running out of words to say what I think about Cameron keeping quiet about something as truly intergral in british society to use your own words./
It looks as though we are all going to have a busy year ahead for more than just one reason, but........it could turn out to be just one error too much for the Tories. Perhaps we should not mind for them being overconfident about the 2OO9 Ellect. It could be our only real opportuniy to rely on the majority of British people ie when it really matters to show their gratitude and thanks for the N,H.S, the single greatest achievement of British democrascy...
